R.I.P. U.S.A. – OCTOBER 2018
With the mid-term elections fast approaching, the recent battles over Justice Kavanaugh’s supreme court confirmation still visible in the rear-view mirror, and headlines detailing physical clashes between left and right-wing groups in Portland, will it be any wonder if future historians look back on this time period and declare it the beginning of the end? Just this week, at least 14 bombs (at the time of writing) have been mailed to politicians and personalities critical of President Trump.
Both sides are framing the upcoming elections as a “battle for survival” with Democrats promising to back up their “Blue Wave” with changes to the court system, electoral college, and beyond -almost certain to trigger the so-called “constitutional crisis” we’ve all been hearing about. Meanwhile, Republicans rally their base by stoking angst about hordes of Marxists clamoring to take your rights and property away. Of course, most of this is laughable fear-mongering; though a lot of it has to do with the engineered fracturing of American society along “perceived” lines of distinction like race, sex (and sexual orientation), and income level. In short, the Left have taken a play from the Marxist playbook, substituting racial and sexual politics for the divisions in class used to curry favor with the downtrodden. An article (that expresses this idea far better than I can) is included in the “Further Reading” section below.
There was a time when Americans could fall back on our common principles, principles handed down from the founding fathers that are still as radical today as they were over 200 years ago. Rather than look at our lives through the lens of exploitation, we lived by the creed that “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” was enshrined within us all and guaranteed by the Creator. Make no mistake about it: Identity Politics (and those who practice it) are the true enemies of the people.
IDONTCAREABOUTYOU.COM’s name itself is derived from this societal solvent, and is a refutation of these divisive politics. We will always advocate against them, no matter what the form (or from which side of the debate they originate). Rather than find ways to separate us, this website strives to unite us in those areas we have in common, even if it is over a cigar or a pair of headphones. If you subscribe to or support these political measures, we seriously ask you to consider: Does anything about identity politics actually HELP anyone? Aren’t you (yourself) being manipulated? And, once you’ve accepted that you are being manipulated, whom stands to benefit?
